ESP32 CP2102 38Pin 4MB Development Board WiFi+Bluetooth Ultra-Low Power Consumption Dual Core

Overview
This ESP-32 WiFi and Bluetooth (including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)) enabled board features the powerful 240MHz dual core CPU ESP-WROOM-32 chip, which is manufactured by Espressif Systems. Designed with the TSMC ultra-low-power 40nm technology, it has significantly more processing power than standard Arduino microcontrollers and is fitted with a CP2102 USB interface, so it is fully USB ‘Plug and Play’, and, as it is designed for mobile devices, has ultra-low power consumption.

Capable of being programmed with a wide variety of programming languages, it is fully compatible with the Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) software, which makes it easy to use and uploading sketches to the board simple. Other compatible programming languages include ESP-idf (Espressif IoT Development Framework), MicroPython, Simba Embedded Programming Platform (in Python language), RTOS’s (such as Zephyr Project, Monogoose OS and NuttX RTOS), LUA, Javascript (Esprunio, Duktape, Monogoose JS) and Basic. In addition, it has multiple analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog channels, hardware accelerated encryption, pulse width modulation, capacitance touch interfaces, hall effect sensors, support for I2C, I2S, SPI and UART and a lot more, making it an impressive successor to the NodeMCU ESP8266 series of development boards.

The header pins come pre-soldered onto this board so that it is completely ready to use.

MODULE ESP-32 38-Pin DevKitC ESP-WROOM-32 CP2102 WiFi Bluetooth Development Board with Dual Core 32-bit LX6 processor (600 DMIPS)
DIMENSIONS 55.0mm (including USB socket) x 27.5mm x 13.0mm (including header pins)
HEADER PIN SPACING 2.54mm
WEIGHT 10.9g
SUPPLY VOLTAGE 4.5-10v
PIN OPERATING VOLTAGE 3.3v
DIGITAL I/O PINS 26 x usable GPIO pins. Of these, four pins are only available as inputs (GPIOs 34-39).

10 x GPIO pins are equipped with capacitive touch sensing; including GPIOs: 0, 2, 4, 12, 13, 14, 15, 27, 32 & 33.

GPIOs: 1, 3, 5, 14 & 15 change their state to HIGH or output PWM signals at boot or reset, so you may get unexpected results if you have outputs connected to these pins when the board resets or boots.

Although there are a further six GPIO pins, the ESP-WROOM-32 integrated SPI flash memory is connected to GPIO6 (CLK), GPIO7 (SDO), GPIO8 (SD1), GPIO9 (SD2), GPIO10 (SD3) and GPIO11 (CMD); it is therefore not recommended that these six pins are used as regular GPIOs.
PWM 16 x independent PWM channels that can be configured to generate PWM signals with different properties using any of the board's 22 x PWM-enabled GPIO pins: 0, 1, 2, 3*, 4, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 32 & 33.

*GPIO3 (RXD) is only usable after code uploaded.

Although, in addition, GPIO10 (SD3) is PWM-enabled, it is not recommended for use as it is connected to the integrated SPI flash memory.
ANALOG INPUT PINS (ADC / DAC) 18 x 12-bit ADC pins, which also includes two pins with 8-bit DAC channels (used to convert digital signals into an analog voltage).

The 12-bit ADC has values 0-4095 (0=0V and 4095=3.3V).

The 10 x ADC2 pins cannot be used when Wi-Fi is used.
INTERRUPT PINS Available on most usable GPIO pins
UART 3 x UART channels (Speeds up to 5 Mbps):

UART0: TXD (GPIO1), RXD (GPIO3)
UART1: TXD (GPIO10), RXD (GPIO9)
UART2: TXD (GPIO17), RXD (GPIO16)

UART1 is not recommended for use as it is connected to the integrated SPI flash memory.
SPI 3 x SPIs (SPI, HSPI, and VSPI):

SPI: SCLK (GPIO6), GPIO8 (MOSI), GPIO7 (MISO/DC), GPIO11 (CS)
HSPI: SCLK (GPIO14), GPIO13 (MOSI), GPIO12 (MISO/DC), GPIO15 (CS)
VSPI: SCLK (GPIO18), GPIO23 (MOSI), GPIO19 (MISO/DC), GPIO5 (CS)

HSPI or VSPI are recommended, as SPI is connected to the integrated SPI flash memory.
I2C • 2 x I2C bus connections (Default G22 (GPIO22) = SCL, G21 (GPIO21) = SDA)
• 2 x I2S bus connections (Inter-IC Sound protocol is capable of carrying audio)
WIFI • Integrated 2.4 GHz antenna
• 802.11 b/g/n (802.11n @ 2.4 GHz up to 150 Mbps)
• Supports WFA and WPA/WPA2 and WAPI authentication
• A-MPDU and A-MSDU aggregation and 0.4μs guard interval support
• Hardware Accelerated Cryptography: AES, SHA-2, RSA, Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), Random Number Generator (RNG)
CLOCK SPEED 80-240 MHz (Dual core 32-bit)
CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR 40 MHz
INTEGRATED SPI FLASH MEMORY 4 MB
SRAM 520 KB
TEMPERATURE OPERATING RANGE -40 °C to +85 °C
FEATURES • Individually controllable dual CPU cores
• Compatible with a wide variety of programming languages
• Ultra-Low Power Consumption
• Multiple Power Modes (Active, Modem-Sleep, Light-Sleep, Deep-Sleep and Hibernation)
• Hall effect sensor (used to measure changes in the surrounding magnetic field)
• SD/SDIO/CE-ATA/MMC/eMMC host controller
• SDIO/SPI slave controller
• CAN bus 2.0
• Wake up from GPIO interrupt, timer, ADC measurements, capacitive touch sensor interrupt
